The most impressive sample image rarely tells you which subscription to buy. A store owner needs editable, repeatable, usable assets. An art director may care more about exploring a visual direction. A designer may need vectors rather than another flat image.
Before comparing generators, write a brief with the required dimensions, reference material, typography, and export format. Decide whether you need public experimentation or private commercial production. Plan restrictions can matter as much as the generated image.

Evaluate the result against a brief
Use three briefs: one conceptual scene, one layout containing exact words, and one brand-consistent variation based on a reference. Give each candidate a similar number of attempts. Score adherence, required repair, export suitability, and repeatability.
Avoid assigning a universal numeric winner from a tiny sample. A tool can be excellent at one brief and unreliable at another. Keep the recommendation attached to the task it actually performed well.
Understand what your subscription buys
Monthly credits, GPU time, slow generation, and export allowances are different units. Convert them into a practical question: how many approved assets can you produce in a normal month, including retries and upscales? Check whether unused capacity expires.
Privacy also changes the value of a plan. If you are working on an unreleased product, inspect visibility settings before uploading reference material. A higher tier may be required even if you do not need more generations.
Finish the image deliberately
Generated imagery often needs cropping, typography, color adjustment, and accessibility review. Keep important text in a real design layer where possible. Save the prompt, model, date, references, and approved output so the next campaign can be reproduced more consistently.
For ecommerce listings, do not replace an accurate product photo with a plausible invention. Use a dedicated product workflow when fidelity is the main requirement.
